Description
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The Krypton FXG50 features a 640×480, 12µm thermal sensor with a 50Hz refresh rate to provide high quality, crisp thermal imagery and enhanced identification of animals and their extremities — revealing even the smallest of details such as branches, grass, leaves, and terrain — regardless of adverse weather conditions or environments where thermal contrast is low.
2300m Detection Range
Combining the thermal sensor with a powerful 50mm f1.2 objective lens, this thermal imaging front attachment provides an astonishing detection range of up to 2300m (of a standard 1.8m tall object or animal) in total darkness — the largest any Pulsar thermal device currently has to offer!
HD AMOLED Display
Thermal imagery is vividly presented onto a 1746×1000 HD AMOLED display, consistently providing a richly contrasted, crystal clear picture. This display will ensure flawless, consistently high-resolution imagery.
Operating Modes
Four operating modes optimise this front attachment’s settings in different conditions and ambient temperatures. The four available modes include Forest (for use in low temperature contrast conditions), Rocks (for use in high temperature contrast conditions), Identification (high detail mode), and User (user defined brightness and contrast settings).
Calibration Modes
Three calibration modes (Manual, Semi-Automatic, and Automatic) are available and work to equalise the microbolometer temperature background, eliminating any defects and ensuring consistent image quality.
8 Hours Battery Life
8 hours of battery life is achieved after just a single charge (depending on temperature) thanks to the quick change replaceable IPS7 battery pack — operating effectively the whole night through without needing to be replaced.
Display Off & Instant Start-Up
Battery is preserved through activation of the Krypton FXG50’s Display Off mode, a function that halts image transmission to the display, reducing the screen brightness to an absolute minimum and entering standby mode, rather than powering down the device entirely. Pressing the power button when the device is in standby mode will activate instant start-up in just 3 seconds.
Quick Release Adaptor
The Krypton FXG50 attaches quickly and easily to riflescopes using PSP adaptor (available separately), converting them into fully-fledged thermal imaging devices. One end of the adaptor attaches to a secure threaded joint, and the other end mounts on the lens barrel of the daytime optic. Living up to its name, this Quick Release Adaptor takes just seconds to remove and reinstall, and for optimum comfort the precise positioning mechanism allows for perfect alignment of the thermal image in the daytime optic’s field of view.
Durable Housing
The durable magnesium alloy housing ensures structural integrity and protection against impact forces and vibrations. The device is resistant against external mechanical, temperature, and climactic influences, and simultaneously works as a heat sink to remove any heat caused by the internal electronic components.
Operating Temperatures
This magnesium alloy housing, power unit, optics, and electronics have all been designed for use within a wide variety of temperatures and environments, meaning this front attachment will remain fully operational in extreme temperatures, from -25 to +50°C.
IPX7 Waterproof
The IPX7 waterproof rating protects this device from heavy rainfall, snow, fog, and other precipitation. It will even run flawlessly after immersion in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes.
Built-In Video Recorder
The Krypton FXG50’s built-in still image and video recorder enables image capture or video recording with audio when out in the field. It can even offer the ability to easily share these moments with friends and family using the Stream Vision 2 app. One press of the REC button is all it takes to capture hours of footage or thousands of images.
Internal & Cloud Storage
Images and videos can then be stored either on the 16GB of internal memory, or on the 16GB of FREE cloud storage available to users on the Stream Vision 2 app. Photos and videos can also be downloaded to a laptop or PC via simple connection of a Micro USB cord.
Wi-Fi Module & Stream Vision 2 App
Features a built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module, providing a stable connection between device and smartphone or tablet using the Stream Vision 2 app. This app opens up a wide array of features and controls over digital functionalities. Users can store their photos and videos on the app’s 16GB of free cloud storage.
Users can even use their smartphone or tablet as a wireless remote, controlling and adjusting the device’s settings. Every change made can be seen on the smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. Also offers the ability to record footage or take still images using a connected smart device.
They can browse through every photo and video recorded on the device, with the option to download and even share these files with friends.
Users keep their device running smoothly through remote device updates using Stream Vision 2’s firmware update abilities, ensuring the Krypton FXG50 is always working to the best of its ability on the latest firmware.
An important note: The Krypton FXG50 is still compatible with the previous iteration of the Stream Vision app.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
